There’s a Starbucks downstairs and a small shared bar with limited hours and a short flatbread menu, but no real range of food options inside the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and it’s a 15 minute walk to the conference center. My room was roomy and clean, and the staff were friendly and helped with special requests. It was cleaned every day. I’d stay here again.

The location is great and the staff are really nice, but the hotel itself was a no for me. The rooms stay hot because of a timer. Parking also requires valet, though that isn’t stated. Otherwise you’re parking somewhere random down the street and hauling bags and all your kids to the room, which is ridiculous for $500+ for two nights. The beds weren’t comfortable, and the blankets and sheets felt crispy. The carpets are really dated, and the room had an old smell.

Customer service at your Houston property fell short throughout my stay. I asked for room service several times, but all I got was a towel change. My conference reservation was also mishandled even though we had booked several rooms under our account. My flight delay kept me from checking in at the scheduled time. Lina couldn’t provide a receipt, so I had to call the manager on another date to follow up.

The location made it easy for us to get around. There was walkable access to the public train, which we took to the Museum District and nearby sights. My family and I found our rooms at SpringHill Suites very clean and well made, and both the front desk and GM were helpful and accommodating.
