The place didn’t feel safe or quiet. They shared our door code with other tenants, and when we left, people could come into our unit. People wandered around the property and tried to force the door open; we yelled, but nobody did anything. We even had to involve local authorities, though the police couldn’t find the place. The owner says she’s obsessed with “happy families,” and that seemed pretty specific. We felt like she wanted us to be miserable. I’d never recommend staying here. It was the worst Airbnb experience I’ve had. There were also groups of interracial men around, which felt very weird.

I’d save yourself the hassle and book a Motel 6 or somewhere similar. At least their management will deal with problems that day instead of waiting until you’re gone. On our first day, one blanket had a mysterious wet fluid that wouldn’t dry, and the other was stained yellow. That says a lot about how clean the place was. They eventually changed the blanket on day two, but also worked on some wires and broke the AC. We had to sleep in the heat that night. The manager wouldn’t fix either issue the same day. All he said was, “I’m sorry, I’ll fix it tomorrow.”

So many restaurants are an easy walk away, which is the best part if you’re into Asian food. The location is great, the staff are nice, and the price is affordable. There’s also a gated parking lot that’s free and felt totally safe. This is a really decent place to stay.

Dun Huang's Plaza is right across the street, so there’s plenty to eat and do for days. The apartment was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in, and the location is amazing.

I checked out yesterday. It was quiet and spacious, and management was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The place is near the beltway, in the international district. I’d definitely recommend it 👍
