The bed and pillows were comfortable, but the smell was awful and there were a lot of roaches. I complained, and the front desk woman gave me very unpleasant looks. She seemed kind and professional on the surface, but I found her judgmental and unfair. I don’t want to arrive without roaches and leave with them either. I also believe room assignments are discriminatory. She told third-party booking sites there were no rooms, even though I saw five available on other sites. It seemed like she was pushing guests toward higher-priced options such as IHG. If cheaper booking partners are a problem, the hotel should reconsider those contracts. I wish I’d read the reviews first. What I expected to be a peaceful, comfortable stay turned into a big disappointment.

The parking lot was quiet and felt safe, with no homeless people or random commotion. At night, though, the main entrance is locked, so you need a key card or someone at reception to let you in. My friend checked in Friday, September 19, 2025, and was assigned room 204. I believe the hotel controls placement selectively, and that some guests end up in substandard rooms. The AC in ours was old and damaged, with exposed wiring at the top. It stayed at a warm setting and shut off every 15 minutes, and the fan speed didn’t work properly. There was no phone line, ice bucket, hair dryer, or ironing board, and the pool and jacuzzi out back were closed to the public. That same night I saw a large flying cockroach on the wall in the west stairwell on the third floor, then found another dead one under the AC in the room. I hadn’t seen them in separate places like that before. The night desk worker was incompetent.

I love staying here. The room was great, and the property is quiet and accommodating, with everything you might need nearby. Mahi, Ms. Leslie, and Mr. Chris were phenomenal, so kind and attentive. The rest of the staff were pleasant too.

People were standing all outside when I checked in. Then we found roaches in the room. The front desk moved us, but the next room had roaches too, so we checked out and went somewhere else.
