Greetings from our very snowy home up North. We’re planning another visit to Howell. When we stayed at your hotel for one night a few weeks ago, January 8-9, we had a wonderful time. I also really enjoyed talking with you about your beautiful plants, and I’m grateful for the cutting from your Jade plant. Bad road conditions delayed us getting soil, but once I had some, I planted it in a terracotta pot. The big cutting looks good; the little one isn’t doing so well, and I hope it recovers. A really good value in a convenient location. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were so friendly. A great place to stay.

We were there for my Class reunion, 7/26/25, and it worked out perfectly. The location was just right, the rooms were quiet, and the beds were comfy. We skipped breakfast because we have a favorite spot, and there’s no pool, but we still enjoyed the stay. The owners are very cordial and friendly. We’ll stay here again!

Our group was around 40 people, and the pool wasn’t open or being maintained. Growth was visible on the stale water covering its top. The air conditioners in the rooms looked poorly maintained from their filters. My brother’s room smelled musty and had several air purifiers, unlike the other rooms, which felt off-putting. I felt itchy as soon as I entered the rooms, and the zipper locks on the liners meant I couldn’t check for bed bugs. A friend also told us that when they asked for ice, the person helping scooped it with bare hands. Several of us were so unhappy that we booked elsewhere. This seems to be a family-run business badly in need of an overhaul. After checking other reviews, I found one from a year ago saying the pool and adjacent restaurant weren’t in order, so the listings seem to have been inaccurate for longer than we realized. Find somewhere else to stay.

I had a very pleasant stay. The service was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It seems to be a family-owned, family-run business, and it’s just a mile from downtown.
