The man who checked us in was genuinely helpful. He kept trying to sort things out and communicated with us, even though he couldn’t fix most of the problems. He was the only good part of the stay, and eventually I felt so bad about having to keep bothering him that I gave up and went to bed. There was plenty to be frustrated about. The stairs and elevator looked like a scene from a horror movie. Only the TV downstairs seemed to connect to the Wi-Fi, so we couldn’t watch what we had planned. The pool area stones were coming up from the floor, and the jacuzzi fumes were overpowering. My skin felt awful afterward, and the water was barely tolerable. In the shower, material fell from the handle into the tub, and the drain didn’t work, so the tub started filling with water and whatever had fallen in. I finally wiped off at the sink and went to bed. The sheets were stained, and we left more tired than when we arrived. We had planned to stay a second night, but went home instead. It was a waste of time and money. Bestwester should take its name off the building. I know hotels have maintenance and updates to do, but guests should be told what’s going on. Staff need to know too, so they can give people accurate information instead of having to run around searching for it. And yes, it still would have been nice to know. The mini fridge was so over-frozen and broken down that only a small part was usable. Charging for amenities people can’t use isn’t okay.

After a full day behind the wheel, I can always get a good night’s sleep here. The staff are great and will try to accommodate room requests when they can. It’s under two minutes from the interstate, and there are lots of DoorDash options nearby.

I had a quiet room with a comfortable bed, and the lobby was clean. The attendant who greeted me was friendly, and the location worked well for me. Breakfast was adequate. I used points, so I can’t comment on the price.

Breakfast was decent and the hotel seemed fairly clean. The beds, though, were hard as a rock. The shower got hot but barely had any pressure, and the hot tub was only warm.
