The Spinnaker

There were five of us, three adults and two kids, and the room had plenty of space. The full fridge, stove with oven, microwave, and bathtub were all great, and the hotel is near the beach and boardwalk. For the price, I’d happily stay again. The floor by the entrance was dirty when we arrived, and there were stained, dirty dishes in the cabinet. I’d prefer glass dishes, or I’ll bring paper plates next time. Still, it’s a lovely place for a small family and a good value.

We had a great view from our fifth-floor room, with the ocean and even the bay in sight. It was right behind the elevators, so I wondered about noise, but we never heard them during our five days there. The room was clean and tidy, the staff were really nice, and we enjoyed Malia's for breakfast and lunch. We’ll be back.

At 18th Street, the location worked well for us. The property is older and isn’t in the same class as a Marriott or Hilton, but it’s maintained well and is top of the line for a motel-style place. Staff from housekeeping through management were friendly and helpful, and I thought it was a great value.

The room was nice for the price, and aside from one problem I had a perfect stay. I needed to work, but the internet in the north building was completely unavailable, despite the warning at check-in that it could be spotty. That hadn’t happened on my earlier stay in the south building near the main office.
