Sheraton Cerritos Hotel

The room was clean and the staff seemed friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We booked a room with breakfast included and got no vouchers, so we ended up paying a $50 bill. The breakfast itself was no better than what you’d get at another budget hotel, so you’re better off eating nearby. The patio furniture was wet even though it hadn’t rained that day, which made sitting outside on an overcast day a missed opportunity. Our room’s broken AC kept it at 80 degrees day and night. There was also some kind of wedding event, so the hotel was noisy and parking was harder to find. We stayed two nights. I’d go somewhere else.

The ballroom looked nice, and the captain was great and very accommodating. But I planned my daughter’s wedding here and didn’t get what the contract promised. They changed the layout on the day of the event, which led to confusion and surprises. The stage also wasn’t ready when promised, and my decorator got it at the very last minute. I wouldn’t recommend this place for weddings. Maybe it’s fine for small events.

The suite had a nice amount of space and a good layout, with a view of Cerritos Innovation Center and the square. The fountain’s sound was soothing when I opened the window a little. The location is definitely a strong point, right across Fountain Square from Cerritos Innovation Center. My feelings about Sheraton Cerritos are mixed, though, because of the service. Some Front Desk staff were kind and always willing to help, while others weren’t. I used the Bon Voyage app chat to share my check-in time and specific requests, but the staff never replied. I’m not sure if that was a system problem or a service issue. I’d still recommend it.

The heater never got fixed. Two maintenance guys came on separate days, but it was winter and I was still stuck in a cold room. My concerns weren’t handled properly, and the guest services people didn’t seem to care. The atmosphere here felt strange, and the service was super weird. It was a very unpleasant stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Please book somewhere else. Marriott shouldn’t endorse a hotel with such poor quality. I’m embarrassed for them, and I’ll have to contact corporate to let them know about this place.
