Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton-Huber Heights by IHG

For $150, this really wasn’t worth it. The room was too noisy, and loud music in the hallway woke me at 5 in the morning. Staff didn’t ask anyone to turn it down. The pillowcase had blood stains, the towel and hairdryer bag were stained too, and it looked like the towels hadn’t been washed or the room cleaned properly. There was a coffee machine but no cups. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️.

The area is great, but I’ve stayed in better hotels. The rooms and beds were clean, and the bathroom was okay, though the tub was dirty. With the tub and fabric curtain, showering flooded the bathroom and the entryway outside it. My boyfriend and I spent more than five minutes cleaning up the water. We’re staying here while our truck is being repaired, since we’re semi truck drivers and couldn’t stay in it. Christmas day breakfast was cold, had few choices, and the cheese omelets were burnt. The pancake maker had worked the day before but wasn’t working then. Room cleaning was lacking for a stay longer than one day. I asked for more towels and got only one for the two of us. I also had to take out my own trash after asking staff to do it almost two hours earlier.

While I waited for a vehicle repair to be finished, they let me arrive a little early and stay a little late. They took good care of me, and I really appreciated it.

I work on the road 95 percent of the year, and this is the worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed at. The front desk girl was SUPER unprofessional. They have a game room, but if you stay there past 10 o’clock, she’ll threaten to call the cops. My company spends tens of thousands of dollars a year at IHG hotels, and this is the only one where we’ve ever had a problem. We’ll stay at the Hampton next door for the next 2 months.
