For $50, this old place is okay for one night. The room was clean, especially the bathroom, and the tub was clean with hot water. There’s no WiFi in the room, only in the lobby. Breakfast wasn’t included, and we couldn’t buy any that day because it was cleaning day. The lobby does have free water and complimentary coffee. The pool was clean and warm, open from 10 am to 10 pm. The staff were friendly. Our room had no fridge or microwave, but you can add them for $9.

There was no internet at all, the restaurant and bar were closed, and the front desk person wasn’t very friendly. The room’s hairdryer didn’t work and the carpet smelled bad. The pool was large and warm, but in the evening only about one eighth of the lights in the pool area were on. The hot tub heated up, though its jets and bubbles didn’t work. The sauna seemed to have been out of order for months, and we couldn’t access the exercise room. They advertised a sauna, hot tub, high-speed internet, restaurant, bar, and exercise room. The hotel is huge, but there were only a few cars there and it felt very empty. I can see why. It was a very disappointing weekend, the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and I won’t return.

We paid in cash, but four days later the hotel charged our credit card anyway. When we called, someone claiming to be the manager said they could do as they pleased and accused us of smoking in the room and burning blankets. We did not smoke there. We’d stayed Saturday, and the charge didn’t appear until Wednesday night. I had to cancel my card and am disputing it through the bank. The reservation company is also filing a complaint. The rooms weren’t very clean, the bar and lounge weren’t operating, and the continental breakfast was a brown bag from the desk with potato chips and snacks. I’ve never had a hotel issue before. Don’t give these people your card number, and if you’ve stayed here, keep an eye on your transactions for a while.

At 5pm we were still waiting for rooms to be cleaned, despite being told we could check in at 1. The actual check-in time was 4, and other guests had already been waiting for three hours. We eventually got rooms, but they weren’t clean: the sheets were damp, there was hair in the tub, and we had no towels. The kids and I went swimming, but there were no towels there either. We were told there was no housekeeping that day, and still had none the next morning. There were no other hotels with vacancies by then. I don’t recommend this place, especially if they don’t end up comping my room.
