Vanderbilt Lakeside

We planned our wedding at Vanderbilt Lakeside from out of state, and Henrietta's online guides and checklists made things simple. She paid close attention to every detail and handled the day seamlessly. Our family stayed in the upstairs rooms over the weekend, which made the wedding day easy and stress-free. The house is gorgeous and unique, and the photos turned out incredible. Everything was amazing from beginning to end, especially the food. We're still hearing how much our family and friends enjoyed it. I'd recommend the venue 12/10, and now I'm trying to come up with another reason to hold an event there.

Chef Matt made a Mexican-influenced menu for us, including an excellent mole that everyone talked about all evening. Henrietta was communicative, flexible, and knowledgeable throughout planning, and helped us put together a custom food and drink menu. On the wedding day, everything ran on time, the staff looked after every guest, and they worked smoothly with both venue-recommended vendors and the outside vendors we found ourselves. We felt completely supported. The beauty of Vanderbilt Lakeside is a big part of what makes it special. We needed very little extra decoration because the space already felt welcoming, with an eccentric but elegant design. Guests kept complimenting the atmosphere and all the gorgeous corners of the property. We knew from the moment we arrived that we'd found the right place, and it more than lived up to our expectations. We wish we could do it all again.

Henrietta and Matt made planning a pleasure. Henrietta replied to my emails quickly and kept everything smooth and easy, while Matt personalized the menu for us. Just as I'd hoped, everyone loved the food. Guests kept asking how we found such a gem and raving about the property and its cozy atmosphere. Vanderbilt Lakeside felt like home to us, right from the first photos online. When I saw them, I told my fiancé, Patrick, that the real place had to match them for us to choose it. Visiting a few weeks later, I found the house even more magical than I'd imagined. It reminded me of my childhood home and our family's upstate vacation spot, with details like the pool table, taxidermy, and creaking hardwood floors. The deck, quiet lake view, and open lawns brought back memories of our family retreat. The style felt right for both Patrick and me, and our friends and family had that same instant feeling when they arrived. Since the place was already so distinctively decorated, we added very little, and our own touches fit right in. Vanderbilt Lakeside is dog-friendly, so our furbay Cali could join us for the weekend. We were lucky with the weather: a warm early evening turned into a crisp, cool night around the fire pit, perfect with a light jacket. It was lovely having our closest people stay upstairs and extending our time together. Thank you, Henrietta and Matt, for a perfect weekend; we'll remember it for a lifetime.

The house was even more beautiful in person, with a peaceful lake setting, lovely design, and lots of room for a big group. We stayed with friends and young kids and found it clean, comfortable, and well laid out. Communication was easy and professional the whole time. We had an amazing weekend at Vanderbilt Lakeside and would absolutely recommend it. We'd love to return.
