Hulett Motel

The Wi-Fi was very weak. The A Frame chalet was tiny, but the bed was really comfortable and the location was so quiet that I slept well. It’s just 10 minutes from Devils Tower, with a grocery store across the street. Do get ice cream inside the office, they have lots of flavors and it’s very good.

The extra bedroom gave us somewhere to put our luggage in this two-bedroom suite. The spaces were small and tidy, and the room felt rustic and cramped while also somehow spacious. One unexpected shower detail, the hot water knob was on the right.

When we visit Mato Tipila, we like staying at Hullet Motel best. The staff are cooler and the location has more charm than Best Western.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly, and the ice cream parlor had good ice cream with around 8 to 10 flavors. The motel is in a quaint little western downtown, along a small river and about 9 miles from Devil’s Tower, which is convenient. We paid $204 for one night, including the $20 pet fee and taxes, which felt pretty expensive for room #11. It had two rooms, one with twin beds and the air conditioner. The full bedroom had only a fan, no AC. This room, along with units 8 - 10, is basically a walkout basement, with low ceilings, a damp feel, and noise from the units above. The chalets and first-floor rooms are probably better, but this unit wasn’t worth that price for the night.
