I'm very disappointed. The hotel didn't meet Brand standards, and it constantly smells like they're trying to cover up bad odors. The coffee is always cold, and I could never get the heat or air conditioning to work properly.

I never stayed at the property, so I can't comment on the facilities. I booked through booking.com with the pay-at-property option, then had a family emergency. It was the same day, and I admit I'd just missed the cancellation window. Still, nobody from the property replied, and they kept the full payment without providing any service. I'd have accepted credit for a future stay, but they refused that too. If you need a hotel with a flexible or forgiving cancellation policy, look elsewhere. They just take your money.

We had a great, quiet stay, and breakfast was great too. They let us check out late, and the gentleman at the desk suggested a great dinner spot, Mexican food across the street. Tour 18 golf course is just down the road, so we made a quick stop there. Thanks for a perfect stay.

The room's AC quit working and reached about 85 degrees one evening. A mechanic came the next day, shrugged, and left without fixing it. He also couldn't explain a ceiling light that flashed every few seconds through our week-long visit. Some things like people smoking and blasting music near the rear entrance, or leaving bottles of urine on the sidewalk, may be outside management's control. Still, the hotel has declined with every visit over the last eight years. It was superb on our first trip to the Houston suburbs, long ago. The bathroom photos can speak for themselves, especially the shower head. Coffee was watery but somehow tasted burnt, and the free breakfast has gotten so bad that after looking over the offerings we always go out to eat. I'm not expecting the best breakfast around, but this was too much. With our young kids, we walked through the lobby while the TV was loudly showing a story about serial killers who'd been molested as children. My four-year-old really didn't need to hear that, especially with Christmas classics playing over the speakers at the same time. On our next trip to Humble, we'll use a short-term rental or at least another hotel.
