We were here for three nights for a 12U youth hockey tournament, and this hotel wasn't a good fit for teams. Parking was easy, housekeeping did a great job, and the location was convenient, with plenty of nearby food and grocery stores. Still, as a family and a team that exclusively stays at Hilton properties, we found this place far below what we expect. I'd book elsewhere for a youth sports tournament. The kids seemed to be treated as a nuisance from the beginning. They were told they couldn't play knee hockey inside during the day, then sent outside to play in the snow. When they threw snowballs at each other, staff yelled at them too. There was nowhere they were allowed to just be kids, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and frustrating for tournament families. The rooms were very small, the beds squeaked, there was no elevator, and the showers only got lukewarm. The heat blew cold air, and we were told the thermostats are reset each morning, so the temperature changes by itself after you get comfortable. We also ran into TV problems. During playoff football, the channel labeled CBS was actually Hallmark. Families gathered quietly in the lobby in the evenings, but were told only the manager could change the TV. One day we were stuck watching CNN, the next Fox News. Breakfast was sparse, just cereal, bagels, and yogurt, with very watered-down orange juice. One family in our group was charged twice for their room, so check your bill carefully.

We stayed just one night, and both check-in and checkout service were fantastic. The room was very clean, and the free breakfast had a decent selection of bagels, yogurt, muffins, and lots of drinks. It was clear the people running the hotel care about guests and the property. There was no elevator that we saw, which could be an issue for some people. The parking lot was a bit rough and could use replacing.

For seven weeks, we stayed here one day each week while my husband was having cancer treatments at the Penn State Cancer institute. It's only minutes from hershey hospital, Hershey Park, Hershey Concerts, and restaurants. Having a nearby place where he could rest between grueling treatments brought us a lot of comfort. The hotel is extremely clean, well kept, and well managed. The rooms are spacious, the mattresses felt new and were comfortable, and the staff are very nice. One day the cable went out; as soon as we mentioned it, the staff called the cable company to get it fixed. It wasn't something they could control, but they were right on it, and I'm glad we told them. Staff can't know there's a problem if nobody says anything. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the hershey area and will keep using it. 100% recommend!

The room was clean, and the staff texted to ask if I needed anything. I was in town for a conference, so I can't comment on breakfast. It's a great, economical Hilton, and I like staying on the top floor. Just be aware there's no elevator, at least not yet.

Our plans were last-minute. We left earlier than expected and decided to drive instead of fly, and since we'd only reserved a hotel at our final destination, we stopped in Hershey on a whim. After a very late dinner, we popped into the hotel, found a room available, and got a really good rate. The hotel and room were clean, and breakfast was neat and tidy. No complaints, we're happy customers. Thanks for making an unplanned stop easy!
