The office hours were limited, possibly because it was the tourism off-season, so I took off a star for service. Still, I’d stay here again if I were back in the area. I spent two nights in May 2026, and the room was very clean, with lots of TV channels to choose from. There was plenty of hot water, and the shower had soap and shampoo dispensers.

We made a lot of memories here, and I’m grateful for the stay. The Baby Bear Cabin was just right for me and my girlfriend, with the small space laid out really thoughtfully. The host was friendly and knew the area well. We cooked most nights, and having kitchenware, propane grills, a communal fire pit, and laundry on-site made things easy. It’s also wonderfully close to the park entrance. The propane fire pit was a nice extra when we wanted that mountain-life feel.

Our cabin had more room than a hotel room, with a full kitchen, dining table, and couch. My husband was especially taken with the high ceilings. The Byrd family runs a wonderful place at Beargrass, near Glacier National Park and plenty of restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and extremely clean, which matters a lot to me when I travel. I only wished the TV were bigger, but I’d highly recommend staying here.

The thin walls mean earplugs are a good idea. Even so, I’d happily stay again after my two nights here. It’s about 10 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National Park, and my room was clean and spacious. There was a comfortable bed, a nice couch, a small table, and a well-stocked kitchen area.

The price felt high for what I got, and I suspect being so close to Glacier National Park pushes rates up. Food choices in town are limited, too. The rooms were clean and had good kitchen facilities, and the park was closer than it is to many other places.
