Sweet Valley Cottages

The fall scenery was stunning, with reds, oranges, and yellows all around the property. It was such a lovely setting for a relaxing break. The cabin was cute, cozy, and had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen for cooking to a fire to sit by. It felt like home, and the thoughtful details made it easy to settle in. Marty was a wonderful host, attentive and kind, and checked in just enough to make sure we were all set. We had a fantastic stay and would love to return to this peaceful getaway.

We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings, and the cabin was cozy and pet-friendly. Sweet Valley Cottages had lovely accommodations and beautiful grounds that went beyond what we expected for a family getaway. Ricketts Glen State Park is close by, so we got to explore its trails and waterfalls. A great place to unplug and spend time together.

I found the place overpriced for what we arrived to, and I wouldn't recommend booking. The cabin was much dirtier than I expected, as if it hadn't been cleaned after the previous rental. When I raised this with the owner, she was very rude. The cottages were also much smaller than the pictures made them look.

We’ve stayed at the cabins four times now, and it’s peaceful whichever cottage you choose. Marty, the grounds keeper, is always courteous and helpful. Verizon service is poor, just as the website says. I managed to pick up three TV stations with a basic indoor UHF antenna, though there weren't many radio stations. On this visit, the temperatures dipped into the 30s one night, but the propane fireplace kept the cabin warm. We had two small issues, and they were taken care of right away. Another great stay. We’re hoping to come back in spring.
