Hampton Inn & Suites Huntersville

A comfortable stop on our family trip. The staff were kind and courteous, and there are places to eat nearby. We’d stay again if we pass through.

The staff I spoke with that night were warm and friendly, and they thankfully kept the price the same. The beds and room were nice, although noise came through easily from the adjoining room because it was a split room. The elevators were noisy too, and the street layout was terrible, though that’s probably poor city planning rather than the hotel’s fault. This was my first stay at this location, and the room change at check-in left a bad impression. I’d booked a king suite months earlier through the hotel website and had a receipt confirming it, but because the hotel was overbooked they switched me to a double queen handicap-access room. They said their policy was to tell guests about overbooking at check-in, which makes no sense to me. I could have been told sooner and made other arrangements. I might give it another try next year and update my rating, but I’m undecided for now.

Marie at the front desk was great the night we arrived, and breakfast was fresh, varied, nicely prepared, and kept well stocked. The cleaning staff impressed us with their attention to detail. I’ve worked in commercial cleaning for 15 years, so I noticed. We visit family in this area often and have stayed at other three-star hotels, but this may be our first time at this Hampton Inn. We think it’s an excellent property and will keep it on our A list for future visits.

The rooms were clean and thoughtfully laid out, and the staff were friendly and responsive. I’d call this hands down the best hotel stay I’ve had in North Carolina in several years. Breakfast was excellent too, with waffles, omelettes, bacon, potatoes, cereal, fruit, and hot tea or coffee. I’d recommend staying here without hesitation.
