We needed somewhere to stay, and Google said this was Day's Inn. That wasn’t right. At about 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, there was nobody at the desk. A father and son came up because their smoke alarm battery was dead and it kept going off. Staff said I’d get a discount, about $72 total, but I was charged $82 for a king room. The “free breakfast” meant going to the desk for a lunch bag with a piece of fruit and a muffin. The pool was broken, as were the vending machines. In the room, a metal pipe kept the sliding glass door shut because it wouldn’t lock. The towels were small and by the TV instead of in the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken and there was no toilet paper holder. The bed was uncomfortable, with just a sheet and a comforter that felt like a curtain. We wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. Worst place ever.

BEDBUGS! My husband was bitten all over, so we went to a store for bug spray and cortisone cream. We got our money back and left at 10 p.m. There was just one pillow on the bed, and the bathroom had no mirror or toilet paper holder. I’d give this place zero if I could. Avoid it.

The room was so filthy when we arrived that I had to deep clean it myself. The owner sent someone, but they stayed only 15 minutes and did a worse job than my three-year-old. An employee, Steve, also came into our room while we were out and rummaged through our things, taking fruit that belonged to my children. Roaches and rats were a problem, and the hot water went out several times during our one-month stay. They wouldn’t refund anything, even when they weren’t providing the services we paid for. The bathroom door looked as if it had been kicked in and wouldn’t close, so there was no real privacy. There’s no usable pool, just a run-down area that’s completely blocked off. The fitness area isn’t available either, with broken, unplugged machines. People we believed to be drug users and evicted locals argued, screamed, and slammed doors in the hall until 2 or 3 a.m. There’s no food on site because the owner won’t work with local businesses to fill the space. Prices may be low, but the place is so dirty you have to sanitize it yourself. The roaches could get into your belongings and travel home with you. Avoid this rat hole.

Even for a budget hotel, this place wasn’t maintained well. The bathroom was dirty, there were lots of flies in the room, and the water never got hot. One side of the curtain rod was broken, so the curtains fell when I opened or closed them. The bedside lamp didn’t work either. In the morning they ran out of coffee, which was part of the “free breakfast.” The other offering was stale muffins in a plastic bag from the front desk, and the vending machines were all empty. I stayed one night on a road trip and didn’t need much, but I’d tell people in the area to look for another budget option.

I travel a lot and sometimes try places with bad reviews, so I don’t always believe what I read. The outside looked rough, mostly because the grass was overgrown, and the hotel could use updates like new room doors and a paint job. Still, I felt safe and would stay again. It was actually very quiet, and I didn’t see any roaches or drug users like some reviewers mentioned. Having a walkout patio was nice, and on the first floor you can park right in front of your room. The hallways weren’t too bad. Hopefully they make some improvements, because this hotel could be very nice.
