Super 8 by Wyndham Huntersville/Charlotte Area

The actual room was clean and convenient, parking was great, and the staff on duty were very nice and courteous. One of them even tried swapping the remote to see if that would fix the TV, which didn't work. The TV was out for our whole two-day stay. I understand electronics can fail and that it may not be anyone's fault, but I expected an apology or some compensation. My issue was with the person at the 800 number. He asked, “What do you want me to do about it?” I expected him to explain what they would do about the inconvenience. He sounded sleepy and lethargic on the phone, and that response felt inappropriate. The front desk staff were wonderful, so I don't blame them. This is my second Wyndham hotel stay that hasn't gone well. The first was a refund problem on an earlier stay. I understand you get what you pay for, but this doesn't leave a good impression, and I'm questioning whether I'll stay at another one. That's why I gave three stars.

The room was fresh and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Even though the property is right beside the freeway and a helicopter pad, you couldn't hear anything from inside. Watch your navigation app on the way in: the driveway is easy to miss, and getting back to it takes two U-turns.

I found a bed bug, so check the sheets and covers carefully. The staff member I spoke with was kind, but I was told Expedia would provide compensation, and Expedia denied it. I don't think the hotel ever contacted them on my behalf. Don't count on a refund, and make sure to check.

It was very affordable and easy to get to, with a convenient location. The staff were polite and helpful. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
