Extended Stay America Suites Orange County Huntington Beach

The coffee bar was a nice thing to have each morning, though the breakfast pastries never changed and were dry and old. The staff were kind about pets, and dog owners did their part to keep the grounds clean. I found it a completely satisfactory stay, and a good WFH option, but the Wi-Fi is unsecured, so bring your own hotspot. I stayed for 10 days while mold was being removed from my home, about 1.5 miles away. It was sufficient for what I needed, with a clean room, friendly front desk staff, and no frills. Some things were shabby, like the shrapnel curtain panels in my first room, but they let me move to a better one and checked it beforehand. It worked for this situation, though I wouldn’t pick it for a vacation rental.

Hudson at the front desk made my visit to Extended Stay Bolsa easy and memorable. He was welcoming and attentive when I arrived, and his knowledge of the area helped with recommendations for attractions and places to eat. He also helped with my luggage, made sure I had what I needed, and handled a last-minute request. It’s clear he cares about guests. Thanks, Hudson, for making me feel at home. I highly recommend Extended Stay Bolsa.

My stay here was minimal. The staff were lovely, but the phone in my room didn’t work, and there were no trash bins in the designated dog potty areas. I had brought bags, thankfully, but nowhere to throw them away. I only ended up at an ES again because friends in the area booked it for me. After a terrible stay at a Phoenix location over a year ago, I sent hand-addressed letters to three Extended Stay heads and never got a response from any of them. I’d vowed not to stay at an ES again. It feels like they’re only in it for the money, while doing as little as possible for guests.

The hotel is clean and well managed, with fresh linens and hot coffee always ready. The staff are the best, easy to reach with a call or by going into the lobby. This is my favorite ESA. Laundry is a gamble, though. A $10 wash can turn into a $20-something affair when the machines eat your coins, and getting a refund is very difficult.
