Glen Gordon Manor

We had a problem during our stay, and the staff dealt with it quickly. This was our second visit to the inn, and we'll definitely return. We started with a warm welcome and sparkling wine, then spent time on the Mews Cottage (Fyvie) porch looking out over the fields with friends. The room was well appointed, and the bathroom was spacious, with a bidet, tub, and shower. Dinner was an outstanding four courses, and breakfast in the sun room under its beautiful flower ceiling was just as good.

The food is four-star, and Matthew and Michelle are understanding, lovely hosts who are happy to cater to your whims. Glen Gordon Manor feels like a peaceful escape. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with tasteful, eclectic decor. Definitely worth a visit.

We've been happy to return to Glen Gordon Inn once or twice almost every year since 2015. On our latest visit, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and the welcome champagne, then relaxed by the fireplace in the lounge. Before dinner, we decided to join another couple we'd been chatting with, and the staff quickly rearranged the tables for us. They also brought coffee to our room at the exact time we requested. The service is outstanding.

The staff were warm and gracious, always seeming to anticipate what we needed. They even let me use their Lucid EV charger before we left, which eased my range anxiety. The breakfast was substantial and very good, apparently made with fresh eggs from their chickens. We didn't have dinner there, but really enjoyed our relaxing stay. The Manor sits in lovely Virginia farm and vineyard country, with beautiful views from several rooms, and the accommodations and common areas are beautifully appointed. We look forward to coming back.
