Hilton Columbus at Easton

The location is a big plus if you want to spend time at Easton Town Center. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, yet the hotel grounds are quiet and it still feels like a relaxing place to stay. My room was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and the lobby and bar areas on the first floor were bright and inviting. I was in Columbus for a day-long conference and stayed overnight. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a welcoming upscale feel inside and striking architecture outside that looks almost historic. Staff I met were friendly and professional. My arrival ran much later than planned, but the 24-hour front desk made check-in easy. After I’d settled in, I realized I’d forgotten toothpaste, and someone kindly brought some up around 1:45 AM. That responsiveness really stood out. I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Columbus at Easton and would happily stay again.

George and Heath made sure my event got off to a beautiful start, and their support meant a lot to me. George especially deserves a platinum medal for customer service. I’m in retail, and customer service is everything to me. I train my team to treat people like royalty, and George treated us exactly that way. He checked on me constantly, made sure my family and I were fed, handled every detail with care, and let me relax even though I’m a workaholic. I wish I had 100 Georges in my business. The whole process at the Hilton at Easton was smooth and convenient, from planning with Krystin to being warmly welcomed by George and Heath on the day. It was one of the most organized, professional venues I’ve worked with in over 20 years in business. Thank you, Hilton Easton, for having me. I’ll absolutely be back, and you’ll always be my first choice venue in Columbus, Ohio.

The room was clean and spacious, but that’s about where the positives ended. I paid nearly $200 for what felt like a double-wide version of a hotel, with paper-thin walls. You could hear everything the neighbors said and did, and guests a few doors down yelled and argued for hours late into the night. Several people called the front desk, another guest confronted them, and hotel staff came by, but none of it stopped the noise. Management waited hours before involving the police, and the guests still weren’t removed. We couldn’t sleep until after 2:00 a.m. At checkout I asked a manager about a partial refund for the disruption and was offered Hilton Honors points instead. I asked for a manager to call me directly. That was over two weeks ago, and I still haven’t heard back. For nearly $200 a night, that’s unacceptable. I won’t stay here again. Stay somewhere else.

I usually stay at Marriott rather than Hilton, so here are a few straightforward points. Parking in their lot costs $12 a day, and I couldn’t find any room temperature control, unless it was hidden behind some door. The rooms also don’t have smart TVs, which matters when you’re traveling. On the good side, the staff are amazing, the restaurant is actually pretty decent, and the hotel pool and hot tub are great.
