Hampton Inn & Suites Huntsville/Research Park Area

The location and staff were awesome, but I was really grossed out by the hair in my room. There were long black hairs on the bathroom floor and on the bedsheet, while my own hair is short and blonde. Without that cleanliness problem, my room would've been perfect and I'd have given five stars.

The staff were kind and professional, the room was clean, and the water pressure was great. Breakfast was a decent spread, though it would help to have allergens labeled on the items. The gym is spacious with standard hotel equipment; it could use something for guests to wipe equipment down before or after using it.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for Redstone Arsenal or the space center, but breakfast was a letdown. I went down a little over an hour before it ended. At other Hampton Inns I usually have scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, potatoes, and 1% milk. Here the bacon was very greasy, there was only regular milk, and the grits had run out. When I asked, the staff member said there weren't any more and didn't offer to make more, then walked back into the kitchen.

Good value and service, and the room was clean. Breakfast was what I expected. The hotel is still in good shape, though it's starting to show its age and could use a refurbishment. They've begun repainting the outside.
