Homewood Suites by Hilton Huntsville - Downtown, AL

Publix is an easy walk through the parking lot, and I ate well from its tasty, budget-friendly hot food. The hotel is also only a block from a hospital, though I never heard any disruptive emergency sirens. Parking was free in a well-lit deck connected to the building, and the location is close to eateries and local businesses while still convenient to the interstate. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. For downtown, the price seemed reasonable. The staff made the visit enjoyable, from the front desk to the dining manager and cleaning crew. Everyone was accommodating and generous with their smiles. I loved it and would recommend this Gallatin Street location to anyone visiting Huntsville.

You can’t beat the location, with Publix and a cookie shop nearby. The rooms were decent, though cleaning could be better: I found a piece of clothing left by a previous guest. There’s lots of free parking, but expect an incline in the garage.

My mom and I stayed here on vacation last summer, and Alissa was so friendly. Whenever we came downstairs, she greeted us and helped us with a lot. She really deserves a promotion and a raise.

The breakfast here is outstanding, and the prices are generally fair. When my family visits town, this is definitely our usual place. It’s convenient for food and shopping, and being close to the hospital is a real plus.
