We celebrated my 40th birthday here, and it was a wonderful experience. The Halo astronomy tour was amazing, even with our larger group, and both guides were funny and informative. Ashely, the GM, was superb and answered all our questions while making sure we had a great time. The rooms were beautiful, the private room felt cozy, and the town is cute. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make the birthday memorable. Come stay, have a party, or visit the place.

The setting made it easy to relax and feel tucked away, though it wasn’t remote. We loved the calm atmosphere and all the little details, and the owners clearly take pride in making guests’ stays memorable. The lodge has a quiet charm, with warm common areas and rooms that are clean, comfortable, modern, and cozy. Everyone was welcoming and attentive without hovering. The property is beautifully designed and well cared for. We had an outstanding weekend, left feeling refreshed, and are already talking about coming back. I’d recommend Compass Rose Lodge for a peaceful getaway.

The place was so quiet, which was one of the best parts. The rooms were great, and Scott at the Observatory knew his stuff and made the tour enjoyable. Everyone was very nice. Thanks, we’ll be back.

Scott gave us a fantastic tour of the sky at the observatory, and the included morning coffee and croissant were amazing. We only wished we’d booked another night.

We’ll definitely come back. The location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the customer service was great. The coffee shop/cafe is really yummy too :)
