Dakota Inn

The service was professional and the accommodations were excellent. I'd highly recommend this inn for a peaceful, comfortable getaway.

Mold on the walls, bugs in the room, and the air conditioning barely worked. One staff member moved us to another room, but when I went to the grocery store, my wife called to say staff were in our room questioning her about the things we were sorting to load back into our trailer. The manager then said the air was fine and refused to move us, even though we'd already been approved for a room change. He also wouldn't refund us when I asked, so I left without getting one. He tried taking pictures of my vehicle and trailer, and I stood in front of him to block it. Disgusting behavior from the owners. One employee was great and did her job well, but the place itself was filthy and terrible. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room, number 138, was decent in most ways, but it had bed bugs everywhere, including all over the sheets. I'm pretty sure we killed around 20. My boyfriend was bitten so badly that his face swelled up, and we couldn't sleep all night. Most things were okay, but the bugs made this a place I wouldn't return to.

The location worked perfectly for us, with Ravine lake just behind the hotel for swimming, kayaking, and boating the next day. My kids also loved seeing the world's largest Pheasant statue outside. Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was fresh. We had a great stay at Dakota Inn.
