We found the Log Cabin nearby, a great spot for home cooking and Southern food. Breakfast at the hotel also had lots of options, including pancakes to make, eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, bagels, English muffins, yogurt with toppings, and oatmeal. The gravy reminded me of what our friend from TN used to make. We were traveling from Virginia to Austin, TX, and the hotel sits off the road, so it was very quiet. The lobby and breakfast/snack room were clean and had plenty of seats, and every staff member we met was extremely nice and helpful. Our basic room was clean and comfortable, with a small fridge that included a freezer compartment for cooler ice packs, plus a pod coffee maker. USB ports on the bedside lamps made charging phones and battery packs easy. The bathroom was roomy, with a large tiled tub and shower and a lighted mirror. The bed was very comfortable, and the four pillows, two firm foam and two soft feather-down, gave us a choice. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

We'd been driving for hours, and night came before we reached our next stop. This was exactly where we needed to rest and recharge for the next day. The location, price, service, and quality were all great. Everything was clean, nice, organized, and well equipped. I'd highly recommend it and keep it in mind if I need a place in the area again.

After long work trips, what matters most to us is a clean room and a friendly face, and the staff here deliver. Everyone is so nice, and the place is usually quiet. The rooms could be cleaner, though. It seems more like the high traffic from the interstate location than neglect, but they could vacuum more. This Holiday Inn gets a lot of traffic, and Richard the Hippo 🦛 says he can only imagine how much upkeep that takes. He and I always stay here when work brings us to the area, and it's one of our favorite IHGs because of the people. Among IHGs, the staff are top-tier friendly. Also, those are 5/5 firm pillows. We've traveled a lot, and this was one of our cleanest, friendliest stays with great accommodations. From the young lady who took our reservation at this location that evening to the night staff and the whole morning crew, everyone made it a great experience. I can't say enough about how good our stay was. Thank you, Hurricane Mills Holiday Inn staff. Highly recommend!

We could have used a gluten-free bread or muffin at breakfast. The bathroom caulk around the shower had a little mold, and the air conditioner smelled musty when it first kicked on. Otherwise it was a decent Holiday Inn Express stay, though the place was confusing to find. Once you drive up the hill, go all the way left to find the driveway. At first glance it looks like an average Holiday Inn Express.
