The room was filthy when we arrived and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous guests. There was dust, dirty surfaces, stained bedding, and an unhygienic-looking bathroom. The whole property seemed poorly maintained and disorganized, with messy hallways and common areas and a chaotic feel. Staff didn’t seem interested in fixing anything, and customer service felt nonexistent. The trouble started before arrival. Our booking was meant to be paid at check-in, but staff repeatedly threatened to cancel it unless we gave them our credit card details ahead of time. Receptionist and manager Rana was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, speaking to us in a hostile, disrespectful way instead of helping. The interaction was stressful from the start. One of our worst hotel stays. Unprofessional management, dirty rooms, misleading booking practices, and awful treatment of guests. Completely unacceptable. Avoid Zion Inn and stay somewhere else.

The owners took no responsibility when we reported that the cleaning lady had taken something from our room. They even tried to blame us, though we have proof she came in while we were away. There’s no sign asking guests to opt out of room service, and after we told them not to enter, they came in again. Spend your money elsewhere before something goes missing. The room was dirty from the moment we arrived, with hairballs on the bathroom floor. Carpet trim was coming off the walls, paint peeled, and the toilet ran all night. There was nowhere to set bags, and the beds were worn out and shaped like tacos. The sink light showed three different colors, a small detail that made the poor upkeep obvious. The AC was obnoxiously loud, and the place looked like it had never been cleaned. Some rooms looked as if they’d been broken into, and our door didn’t seem very safe.

I’d only been here about an hour and already hated it. I’d read that there were bed bugs, but thankfully I checked and didn’t find any. My mom’s shower swung from freezing to extremely hot, and the supposedly BRAND NEW towels had stains. The floor was sticky, dirty, and gross, so I have to wear Crocs around the place. The mirror was stained too, along with plenty of other things I won’t have room to list. Don’t recommend.

If my next hotel hadn’t been even worse, I’d have rated this one lower. The room wasn’t very clean, and part of the bathtub was broken. Staff were rude and seemed really bothered to be doing their jobs.

We stayed six nights while visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks. It’s well located near restaurants and gas stations, check-in was quick and easy, and the woman at the desk was very friendly. The heat and AC, fridge, microwave, and coffee pot all worked. The room seemed clean, and the bed linens were old but clean. The price was a bargain, and we knew it was a bare-bones motel without extras. We might stay again if they make a few basic improvements. The building is old and needs updates and general upkeep. Our carpet was worn, frayed, and torn by both the entry and bathroom doors. The furniture was old, with just two drawers in the chest; they were decent sized but had large stains inside. There was only one nightstand, very little storage, and no usable space under the bed, so we used our luggage. There wasn’t really a closet, just a small hanging area with a shelf and a few hangers. Counter space by the sink was limited. The toilet seat had a few small chips and the bowl was stained. The blanket and bedspread were very thin and slid off easily. We would’ve been cold without the blanket we brought, or would’ve had to ask for more. The old, thin shower curtain wouldn’t stay shut at either end of the curved rod, so water got on the floor. The water pressure was great, with plenty of very hot water. The first night was noisy until around midnight, then started again before 6am. It sounded like people were stomping, running, or jumping in the room above us. We had no noise trouble during the other five nights. Daily housekeeping was what we expected, but we really didn’t get it. The first day the room had three bath towels, a bath mat, three hand towels, one washcloth, a nearly empty Kleenex box, two rolls of toilet paper, two regular coffees and two decafs, plus shampoo, body wash, lotion, and bar soaps. After that, service was barely noticeable. The bed wasn’t changed or made on three of the five days. They replaced towels but never left more than one washcloth, and we had to go to the office for another. We also had to get more tissues and coffee ourselves. Shampoo, body wash, lotion, and bar soaps were replaced once. The bathmat was taken on the last day and not replaced, and they left two full trash cans unemptied. The room wasn’t vacuumed at all, even though it clearly needed it. Coming back late after long, exhausting hikes and having to visit the front desk for basic supplies was aggravating.
