RubyJune Inn

The room was cute, clean, and quiet, and we left already wanting to return to town for another breakfast. Gretchen and Chris made us feel comfortable and at peace from the moment we arrived until we left. Settling into a hotel can be hard sometimes, but this place felt like home.

We first stayed here for one night after our wedding last year, then came back for two nights. Honestly, two nights is the bare minimum. Everything feels intentional, from the rooms and ice room to breakfast and the shared space. Gretchen and Chris are so sweet and thoughtful, and we loved chatting with them. We’re making this an annual tradition!

We only had room in our plans for one night, and before we’d even left we were already wishing we could come back. King Suite (#6) suited us perfectly with the extra luggage. It was spotless, the bed was cozy, and after a long drive in cold, rainy weather, the red light in the shower felt wonderful. There’s a nice range of wine and beer to buy, and the converted Icehouse is a beautiful spot to unwind with music. Chris put out a stunning breakfast in the morning, with the local granola as the highlight. We also got to chat with Chris and Gretchen during our stay. They’ve put together a lovely Inn and have such great energy. Thanks for having us, we can’t wait to return! They pointed us to Everybody’s Brewing for dinner, and it was a great recommendation. The menu’s better than you might expect, they know what they’re doing.

We loved the peaceful, cozy feel of the Ruby June Inn, and our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Chris and Gretchen really make an effort to welcome their guests. The location is convenient for river and gorge views, waterfalls, trails, and mountains, with the White Salmon River right across the street. Breakfast was delicious, and there’s a good selection of wine and beer to enjoy in the ice house lounge, outside, or in your room. My wife and I were impressed by the Inn and the Columbia River Gorge area. We’d highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway if you’re going to be nearby.
