Hyannis Harbor Hotel

For the price, I thought the Hyannis Harbor Hotel offered a lot, especially given the quality of the rooms and service. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and clearly cared about guests having a good stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a relaxing feel. The property was well kept, with modern decor and thoughtful touches, and the pool and lounge areas were nice places to unwind after exploring. Right across from the harbor, it was easy to walk to the ferries, restaurants, shops, and Hyannis attractions. It would work well for either a business trip or vacation. Highly recommended.

The extra fees are worth checking in the fine print. We stayed in early October, when the pools and hot tub were already closed, and the fire pits were only lit on weekends. Our room was in the older hotel, facing the kitchen and parking lot, but we didn't mind the view. The location is convenient for ferries to Martha's or Nantucket, though tickets can sell out early even in the off season, so buy them ahead. There was a Keurig machine, sugar, and creamer in the front hotel area. My only coffee complaint: the cups get hot, and they need little cup sleeves.

We landed in Boston and drove down late at night without knowing what to expect. The hotel was clean and quiet, with a balcony we could have enjoyed if we'd arrived earlier. It sits right across from the Hyline Ferry to Nantucket and Martha’s Vinyard. Before boarding for Nantucket, we grabbed breakfast at The Landing, the cafe across the street. If you enjoy pubs, I recommend 19th Hole Tavern down the street. It's cash only. The bartender, Bob, was great, the drinks were good, and the place has the atmosphere of an old Boston tavern.

The nicest thing was the location, close to the beaches and with a neat Main Street nearby. The staff were nice, but our room was very dirty. The pool and hot tub also close early. I'd choose a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn instead and wouldn't stay here again. I hope the hotel company deals with the dirty room and fixes the bathroom. I didn't raise it with the staff because I thought they'd only offer another room; looking back, I would have preferred a full refund and gone elsewhere. It wasn't worth the $256 plus fees.
