The man running the place was really kind and accommodating, and helped with everything we needed. I was in a handicapped room because of my limited mobility, and the bathroom worked well for me with no problems. The room looked acceptable at first, though it was very dated and worn. Then I tried the bed. I could feel every spring through the thin covering, so I slept on the sofa both nights I’d paid for. My son said he could manage the bed, but I couldn’t.

The room was clean, and check-in was friendly and easy. There aren’t many decent hotels around here, and this one is fairly priced. It’s dated and plain, nowhere near the Ritz, but it was clean, which was what I needed and expected. Just a couple minor annoyances: the shower drained slowly and there was no shampoo in it.

The owner-operator went out of his way to make things nice for my wife and me. The grounds were well maintained, the service was better than the already reasonable price, and our room seemed newly remodeled. It’s an older building, but that didn’t put me off. I’d seen the 4.3-star reviews and chose it on that basis. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

The room smelled moldy and had bed bugs. I showed them to the manager, but he denied it and said someone else would check and call the following Monday. Nobody ever called. The health department should close this hotel.

The property is well maintained for an older place, and our room was clean. We were worried our road trip delays might put us there after 11 and leave us sleeping in the truck.
