Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Idaho Falls at the Mall

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were warm and kind. We tried breakfast the next morning, with lots of choices from bagels to cheese omelettes. We’d happily stay again. A bathroom fan would have made it even better.

We had a reservation mix-up, but the staff made sure we had a room when we got there. The desk team went out of their way to help several times, service well beyond what I expected. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was decent. If I pass through Idaho Falls again, this will be my first hotel to check.

I was hoping for a relaxing anniversary night, but I barely slept. The bed was rock hard, and all night I heard creaks and pops every few minutes, like a house settling. The room looked pretty and clean when we arrived, and the staff were very nice, but the jacuzzi tub was a letdown too. There was no faucet, and water only trickled from the jets. We had to switch to the sprayer handle for any pressure, then fill the ice bucket with hot water about 20 times before it reached the jets. A hot bath would take maybe an hour to fill. The pool and hot tub were okay, the water felt great and there were plenty of towels, but the walls and floor badly needed cleaning. Breakfast was better than I expected after that night: I liked the little omelets and orange juice, and my husband said the other items were good enough. I don’t think we’ll return unless we have to. If you like very hard beds and don’t need sleep, this might be for you. Sorry Country Inn. 😞

The shower had a lot of calcium buildup, but the main problem was getting any sleep. The bed felt like concrete and the pillows were so squishy they might as well not have been there. My husband and I both woke up sore all over, and we’re only in our 30s. Everything else was good, but we booked a room to sleep and that part went badly, so I rated it a 2.
