Harvey House

If you’re planning a wedding on a budget, I’d be very wary of booking here. They weren’t upfront when I asked about venue rental fees. I emailed several times asking for the pricing. Each time, they sent the brochure, even though I explained it listed an all-inclusive package without giving that price, and showed catering costs but no venue rental fees, which change depending on the season and day of the week. After my first request, I got the brochure. When I asked again and apologized in case I’d missed the information, they resent it and suggested I book a tour. I clarified exactly which costs I was asking about in another email, and never got a reply. I’ve also seen other reviews mentioning unclear costs and contracts changing after they’ve been signed. That leaves me feeling this isn’t someone I want to do business with. It’s sad, because it was my dream venue. I was emailing Jeff, who I believe is an owner.

We got to photograph a wedding at this venue, and it was amazing. The views were spectacular for Photography, and the venue team and staff were incredibly helpful. We hope to come back someday!

We’re so glad we chose the Harvey House for our wedding. We wanted the feeling of a mountain elopement, with the services and benefits of a traditional venue, and it let us create a day that felt uniquely ours. Compared with the other venues we considered, it offered much more room to customize and be flexible. The pricing felt fair, and every staff member we dealt with was responsive, helpful, and passionate. Their guided tours, email help, professional communication, and range of amenities made planning easier, with plenty of guidance and great recommendations. They’ve thought through details from getting-ready spaces and first-look options to ceremony enhancements and lots of reception choices. We could rent the house and the one next door for the full weekend, which meant staying onsite and feeling stress-free. Vendors have a parking lot, and guest parking shuttles, security, and hands-on help on the day are provided. The mix of outdoor celebration, patio, and indoor spaces also made it easy to keep everyone comfortable whatever the weather. The bathrooms meet ADA requirements, so our elderly guests and guests with disabilities could enjoy the evening comfortably. It’s a truly magical place to get married, and we’re grateful every day that we trusted the Harvey House.

We got married at Harvey House on November 21, 2024, and had an incredible experience. The setting did so much for the day: the outdoor ceremony among the trees and mountains was magical, and our guests kept talking about how beautiful the venue was and how kind the staff were. The indoor reception space was cozy and warm, with room for everyone, and felt like hosting an intimate dinner party. Leigh Ann, the director of events, was wonderful to work with. She was organized, attentive to every detail, and made sure things ran smoothly. Her planning help made a huge difference, and on the wedding day she had everything in place so we could enjoy each moment. The whole Harvey House team went above and beyond, working seamlessly with our vendors and keeping the ceremony and reception flowing perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Harvey House gave us everything we’d hoped for and more. I highly recommend it if you want a picturesque, stress-free wedding with a team that cares.
