Salinas Inn

The staff and owners were extremely rude. At checkout they inspected the room thoroughly before returning my $100 deposit, and they charge $20 for each extra hour after checkout, with very strict rules. The motel is right beside the 101, which is handy but noisy. My room was basic, with a microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, bathtub, and coffee maker, and the mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was free, but it was just cereal, Danish, fruit, and terrible weak coffee.

We got a great rate for two adults and a child, and the room was clean and nice. The manager came in without warning, thinking it was unoccupied. Breakfast was very limited, just packaged danishes, coffee, and two kinds of cereal. The fridge doesn’t stay very cold. The laundry machines were cheap to use and worked great. I’d stay again for the price, especially since I usually don’t spend much time in the room.

My brother had a small accident, leaving a tiny urine stain that would’ve been easy to clean, but the manager said it stank. Now they say they’ll never rent to us again. The manager is too strict, and I feel they don’t like renting to people with disabilities.

The room was fairly clean, though the carpet was filthy. Water pressure was good, and the guy at the front desk was nice. I had to unplug the fridge because it hummed too loudly. The freeway is right outside my window and it’s loud, but I’m tired, so it won’t bother me much.
