The Westin Tysons Corner

The room looked nice and was decorated well, though it felt small. During both days we were there, housekeeping kept appearing whenever we stepped out, trying to get us to leave so they could clean, and even called on the second day. That felt strange. We were also disappointed to find there’s no pool, despite the prominent pool photos on Google. My husband and I picked this place for a change of pace on a staycation. The food from room service was good, but the prices were airport-like, and there was an extra $5 charge every time on top of the gratuity we left. I still don’t know what that fee was for. Ordering through the usual “Tap Taste Go” setup was easy, as I’ve seen at other Marriott properties. Service felt average: sometimes staff at the lobby desk smiled, and sometimes there was that grumpy woman I saw on both the day and night shifts. For a hotel listed as four stars, it was just mid to me, so I’d call the whole stay average, nothing more or less.

The room was spotless and really quiet, and the party itself was lovely, with beautiful decorations. The waitstaff were attentive, gracious, and efficient throughout. The hotel didn’t make much of an impression on its own, but the people working there did. Marie, who usually works at the Crystal City Westin, checked us in and was wonderful, so pleasant and helpful, and made us feel welcome. Brooklyn at the front desk was great too. We stayed after my husband’s company Christmas party, and had a great experience.

The hotel’s service is often described as warm and attentive, and the staff may go out of their way to help. It’s also well located for Tysons Corner Mall, restaurants, and major highways. Some guests have mentioned occasional service lapses and concerns about parking charges, though cleanliness, comfort, and updated facilities are also praised. Marie at the front desk made my stay at the Westin Tysons Corner feel special. She listened, took care of every detail, and was warm, professional, and so helpful. That kind of care is rare these days, and I felt genuinely welcome. I had a wonderful experience, and I’d recommend the hotel for its service, especially Marie.
