China Beach Retreat

We had the whole property to ourselves Friday night on our honeymoon, and the scenery was breathtaking. On Saturday, two deer spent several hours wandering around and foraging, and there were so many kinds of birds that I could only name a few. The rooms and house were clean, comfortable, and relaxing. David was great when the fireplace needed restarting, even making a trip down to help us. We plan to come back.

Watching the fishing boats come in was a real highlight, and the marsh outside the room was full of birds, with deer grazing too. It was such a peaceful setting. I hadn't expected the place to feel so magical when I booked. The jacuzzi tub was a treat, and the room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The accommodations were beyond what I expected, one of the best places I've stayed anywhere.

The deer came by at dusk to eat apples from the tree, and we loved watching them. There was so much charm inside too, from the long upstairs bedroom windows to the thoughtful furnishings and attention to detail. The marsh view and birds made this feel like a lovely little hidden retreat. It was beautiful, and one night just wasn't enough.

We can't wait to come back. The setting was fantastic, and the wood craftsmanship and attention to detail were amazing. We enjoy many parts of the WA/OR coast and Columbia River in this area, but we've never had a stay quite like this one.
