KARELLI was such a sweetheart and made sure my mom and I were comfortable, even putting us in neighboring rooms on the first floor since we're claustrophobic. The front desk staff were wonderful. This was my second stay here, and I love how clean it is, how close it is to everything, and the good breakfast. I'll be back with my son.

They charged us the same price after putting us in a twin room instead of the king room we had booked, and didn't tell us about the change ahead of time. We wanted the king bed so my wife and I could sleep together. When I raised the issue, they didn't fix anything, and I felt they weren't upfront about it. It showed a lack of empathy.

Friendly staff, and it's a pet friendly hotel. There's a shopping center nearby, and downtown San Diego isn't far. The room had plenty of outlets and built-in USB ports, and breakfast was decent. The gym was okay too, with free weights, a resistance machine, treadmills, and stationary bikes.

I checked in after 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The manager, I think, and another woman were at the desk. I don't know their names, but I believe both wore glasses, and they were welcoming, friendly, and very nice. I was a little unsure about staying here since it's a beach town and not a chain I usually choose, but the stay went smoothly. It's also cheaper than the expensive chain I normally use in Chula Vista, so I'll likely come back.

The room was spotless and had everything we needed, and the staff were stellar. You can hear the road from this close to it. That noise didn't bother me, but keep it in mind if it might bother you.
