The location near the freeways worked well for us, and although I’d read other reviews mentioning car theft, we didn’t have any safety concerns. The place was quiet and very clean, with responsive, helpful people at the front desk. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a bay view room, which was a nice touch. There was plenty to use on site: self-service laundry, a gym, pool, and tennis court, with racquets and balls available. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi had towels ready nearby. Our room had a full kitchen with dishes, lots of closet space, and a modern shower that was spotless. Breakfast offered more variety than at most hotels we’ve stayed in. One of the better places we tried in the area.

The room was very nice, and the property overall looked well preserved, new, and upbeat. Free breakfast is a rare sight these days, and both its menu and presentation were excellent. San Francisco is quite a distance away, about 45 miles south of the city. I also saw earlier reviews mentioning repeat charges and break-ins in the parking lot. They put a $200 security deposit on your credit card, too, a practice many hotels are moving away from. That’s why I’m giving it four stars, to flag those concerns. Keep up the good work!

The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the fitness center and free breakfast were my favorite parts. I was here for the Niners game. Check-in was easy, and they let me into a room before the official check-in time, so I got to relax before heading to the game.

At the Residence Inn San Jose North/Silicon Valley, the front desk staff were kind, patient, and professional. I’d asked for a room with windows facing outside, and they took the request seriously. One staff member went out of her way to sort out my concern and put me in a room that matched what I wanted. I really appreciated her care and warm hospitality. My two-night stay went smoothly and was pleasant. I’d recommend this location if you’re looking for comfort and good service in the area.
