Charles was a wonderful host, keeping in touch during our stay to make sure we had what we needed and knew where to go in the area. The B&B is accommodating and full of character, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We enjoyed the Truman experience and historic Independence, and the food was delicious. It was a memorable stay and great value. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Independence.

The breakfast was so good I'd happily spend $100 on it. The ingredients were farm fresh, and you could taste the care and love put into every meal. Everything about how he runs the place feels thoughtful. We rented the bungalow, a tiny home a bit bigger than a large hotel room. It had separate kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom areas, plus a small laundry space we didn't use but would be handy for a longer stay. The bed was cozy and pretty much perfect. I expected a tiny shack and worried I'd regret choosing it over a traditional hotel, but we wanted a different kind of trip and were glad we took the chance. I've never been so impressed with a place. I'll stay here every time I'm in the area and tell everyone I know about it.

We had such a great time in the Legend of Asia room. The four-poster canopy bed and fireplace made it beautiful, cozy, and romantic. Breakfast was delicious, and it was lovely having a hot tub on site. Charles was a friendly, excellent host. We'll definitely come back.

The cottage had everything we needed for cooking, laundry, and entertainment. We loved the hot tub, king-size bed, and fire pit 🔥, and we're looking forward to another stay. Mr. Charles was a great host, always available when we needed to reach him, and the location was good.

Charles was kind, and the attention to detail and cleanliness were 12 out of 10. My wife and I enjoyed our three days here and felt safe. Breakfast was always on point, and the hot tub was clean and working. We were happy with every part of the stay. If you get a chance to stay or have have a wedding act, DO IT!!!! ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!!!
