We liked having a coffee shop just across the street and stopped in on a few mornings. The town has a homey feel, and from our balcony we could watch both sunrises and sunsets. It was a really nice, quiet, peaceful stay.

The sand is soft and white, and the beach stayed uncrowded. The water remains shallow quite a ways out, with gentle waves that shouldn't scare little kids. You can even catch crab at night for a fresh dinner. Every condo has a west-facing balcony over the Gulf, with wonderful views and waves you can hear just like opening a cruise ship stateroom door.
We were on the top floor when we visited at the end of May. The elevator squeaked a bit, maybe because of hurricanes, but the place itself was great, very clean, and close to plenty of things. We could walk to a nearby park, and we visited the free bird sanctuary nearby. The ocean was close, with hardly any walk from the property, unlike some places we've stayed. Being pet friendly was a big plus for us. 10/10, we'd recommend it and stay again.
We booked through Air Bnb and absolutely loved the condo. Our host, Kristy, was the best. The building has incredible views and gorgeous sunsets, and the beach is only about 20 feet from the exit. Several good restaurants and businesses are conveniently nearby too.
We got an entry code and arrived at 10 PM, only to find there was no keypad. A sign said it was on order. The office was closed, and there was no 24-hour emergency number. Because of their incompetence, we had to rent a hotel for $500.
