Best Western Plus Indianapolis NW Hotel

I really liked the rooms, and they felt worth the price. The scent when you walk in was nice, too, and I was glad the doors get locked at a set time so people can't just wander inside. It's in a handy spot right off 465 on the northwest side. We travelers tend to hope for a good stay at a low price, and this one surprised me. The young woman on the night shift at guest services was really nice. Thanks, she was great 😘

We got a lot of snow while we were there, but the fire department still arrived quickly despite the rough roads. Someone had smoked in the stairwell, setting off the alarm. Since it was below 15 degrees and snowing, with kids coming from the pool, plenty of people were in the lobby instead of waiting outdoors. The staff member at the desk explained what happened and said it was safe to go back to our rooms. He seemed worn down by the weather, the alarm, and all the calls from people trying to cancel. When we went to buy water, he was visibly frustrated and made a comment about not being paid the big bucks. It was annoying, though I understand people can be difficult. The room was nice for the price, and I'd come back. The rest of the staff were kind and accommodating. The people who checked us in and out were especially nice, and the front desk woman helped me find the fitness center and get extra towels. Our room was clean. Breakfast had lots of choices, there was an espresso machine in the lobby, and the gym had cardio machines and free weights. Walmart and several places to eat were about 10 minutes away, with downtown less than 20 minutes away.

The elevator was out for the first couple of days, and we were put on the fourth floor. The place was loud and dirty, and there was no room service. We came to town for a dog show and paid the pet fees. At checkout, we were told everything was fine, but five hours later they claimed my dogs had peed on the carpet. That's impossible, since they stay in crates. Without telling us, they charged another $195 to my card as a cleaning fee. This was our first stay and will be our last.

We had to leave home because of a house fire, and I managed to get a room at the last minute at 4 in the morning. The room was quiet and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were super friendly, and I could pick up clean towels at the front desk when I needed them. The free breakfast was a nice way to start our morning. I'll definitely stay here again.
