The hotel is right by the freeway, so I’d suggest an even-numbered room if you want less road noise. Inside, it’s a lovely place with a modest bar and restaurant. The staff were professional and courteous, and breakfast was thoughtfully planned, tasty, and served in a pleasant setting.

It was a pretty good deal, and I’d stay again if it worked with my plans. I was there Saturday night and it wasn’t too full. Service was good, and breakfast the next morning was pretty good too. The building is older and shows it a little, but it was quite clean. I’ve seen worse in newer hotels.

As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t feel safe here. The parking lot was very dim, and I had to cross a dark courtyard to reach my room. Only one elevator seemed to be working, and the many alcoves and turns made the room feel far removed from registration. I didn’t see any security patrols. The hotel is isolated, with no busy businesses around it. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything. The bar staff member was both bartender and cook, and was nice, though seemed annoyed. I didn’t feel welcome and didn’t sleep well. The door latch was very loose, so I covered the large peephole and put something in front of the door. The hotel is outdated, but the bathroom and sheets seemed clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The staff were great, and the breakfast was yummy, though it costs extra. The restaurant has $10 supper specials and happy hour drink prices. You can hear some highway traffic, so get a courtyard-facing room if you want to keep that to a minimum.
