Marriott Indianapolis Downtown

My room was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well, so the stay was adequate. Check-in was rough, though: the room wasn’t available until two hours past the scheduled time. I was traveling with someone and could leave my luggage in their room while I waited for a call saying mine was ready. The TV had a couple of sports channels but no premium movie channels. Usually hotel TVs let you use your own streaming services, but here Netflix was the only option, and it only worked if you had the ad-free version. I subscribe to the ad-supported plan, so I couldn’t use it. On the 10th floor, hot water took a long time. The first night I nearly gave up and thought I’d need another room before it finally warmed. The second night I turned on the hot shower as soon as I got back, then got my sleepwear, brushed and flossed my teeth, and prepared my washcloth and towel. Even after about another minute, I still had to wait for hot water. I don’t know whether the other floors are like that. If water conservation matters to you, be prepared.

Mohammed was wonderful, and his kindness stood out. I saw him help an elderly couple get to their seats. They wanted steak, but it wasn’t available, so he tried everything he could to help, even bringing in colleagues. Thanks to his effort, the lovely couple had a great dinner after what looked like a full day of travel. They appeared to be in their late 70s. He kindly helped the gentleman to his seat, picked up their plates as well as mine, and kept things clean and ready for everyone. He’s a wonderful person and a real asset to the hotel.

During a very busy All-Star cheer event weekend, the M Club lounge stayed clean and well stocked, giving my daughter and me a dependable place to relax. Mohammed made the biggest difference. From our first visit to the M Club, he was welcoming and genuinely kind. His smile was contagious, and he kept making sure we were comfortable and looked after through our hectic schedule. He’s a true asset to the Marriott team, and that level of service is rare. The Marriott Indianapolis Downtown is a wonderful hotel, with easy access to nearby venues and amenities. We look forward to coming back for our fourth year in 2027. PS, the gummy bears in the lounge are amazing.

The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and was closer to the stadium than we expected. I wish I’d stayed both days I was in town, but the day I spent there was great. My friend was sick, so while I was out I needed help getting some things to my room. Tyla (or Kyla, sorry, I forgot which spelling), a Black woman at the front desk, helped with my order after the delivery people were less than helpful. She even brought things up to my room. I used to work for the Marriott in Chicago and know the level of service we gave our guests. I’m glad to see more properties giving customers the same kind of help.
