La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Indianapolis South

The receptionist was trying her best to help with a situation that was outside her control, and breakfast was a good spread. The hotel is renovating, so hopefully they’ll replace the deteriorating sofa bed mattresses too. If you don’t need three beds, this is the best option in the area. We did need three, so I requested a roll-away online two days before the stay. Wyndham confirmed by email and text that the request would be honored, and I was charged the extra $10 at check-in. But when we reached our fourth-floor room, there was no roll-away. The receptionist said Wyndham hadn’t notified the hotel despite my confirmation, and she didn’t know where the roll-aways were kept, so she couldn’t provide one. I asked for a suite with a sofa bed instead. They had one available and upgraded us for free, but it had a king bed rather than two queens, leaving us with only two beds. We gave up and shared the full-size sofa bed. There was no bedding for it, so I had to go back to the front desk a third time to get some.

Construction was underway, and water came pouring into our bathroom from the ceiling at 11:30 p.m. We had to change rooms, as did about four other rooms that we know of. The hotel hadn’t told us or the other guests sharing our situation, so we all found out the hard way when the rooms below flooded. That was very poor service. There were no extra blankets, and the second room was freezing, with cold air coming out of the register. Not a great stay. Do better. I don’t recommend it.

My Mom and I stayed one night, and the toilet didn't work. Later my back started itching; when I lifted my shirt, I found 3 bites on my lower back. I told someone at the front desk, and she said she'd take care of it. When my mom came back to ask about the promised refund, they said they'd sent someone in and found nothing. They argued with her and threatened to call the police. I then spoke with an employee who lied to me several times before hanging up. The people here were VERY RUDE, impatient, and disrespectful. They didn't want to reimburse my mom and seemed more interested in keeping the money. Please don't waste your time or money here.

The desk staff were friendly, but the manager was rude and didn't care about the problems. We basically had to "deal with it." I paid 500$ for 2 nights in a "suite". The pullout bed for my kids was broken, so I had to buy an air mattress for the weekend. Their section's TV didn't work either, and nobody fixed it. It was only about a 32 inch TV in a suite, too. Lamps were missing bulbs and outlets were hanging out of the walls. We weren't offered a different room or any discount. I also never got my deposit back, even though we'd left the place cleaner than it was when we arrived. Trash.
