Motel 6 Indianapolis, IN - Airport

I don’t write many reviews, but the woman at the front desk deserves a shout-out. I can’t remember her name exactly, but I think it started with Q. She was welcoming, had a fantastic attitude, and was available through the evening. She did all she could to accommodate me. When a man came up with a question and needed a key remade while she was already helping me, she handled both of us beautifully without making him wait.

I’m a professional driver and have stayed in a lot of motels. This one was bare-bones, with no breakfast at all, just coffee. People were walking the halls freely, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a family. There was a very loud group of women across the hall and people outside my room until 1:00 AM. I don’t know if they were doing drug deals or something else, but it all felt weird. The people in the room to my right were loud too. When I arrived around 9:00, the front desk was on break with nobody covering. The woman came back about ten minutes late. If you’re stuck and need a room, it might do, but I’d suggest Comfort Suites down the road. It’s so much better.

The hallways smelled like weed, and under the bed there was trash, blood on the mattress, and some kind of crystals. I think they might’ve been drugs, or they could’ve been bed bug bait. I found bed bugs in the mattress, then got yelled at by the front desk when I asked for a refund. They accused me of tearing up the room. The room had a terrible stale smell. I dropped my things off after checking in because I had to go to work, then came back that night, looked around, and left after finding the bugs and other mess. I canceled my stay at the desk, but they didn’t cancel it and charged me for both nights. When I called, they hung up on me rudely and then said there was no way I’d get a refund, so I should stop trying. Stay away unless you want bugs and a miserable time. Motel 6, give me back my $200, you crooks!

The room was disgusting, with old containers under the bed. The curtains were melted, the toilet had been used when I arrived, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The paper-thin windows let in highway noise, reaching 82 dB inside. I’m still waiting for booking.com to refund me.
