The staff were very nice, and when I called about the room they moved me to another one. I’d just checked in and found hair on the pillowcase and chair, possible eyeliner marks, a dirty sofa, and a Taco Bell guest order sticker on the back of the door. It didn’t look properly cleaned. The hotel also feels dated, with 720p TVs still in the rooms, and I’m not sure the chairs had been cleaned in a long time.

The free breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen, with a pretty extensive spread. The hotel itself could use an update, though. There wasn’t a current charging station in the room, and the only USB port, in the alarm clock, failed to charge my phone overnight. I only noticed once we were already on the road.

The room was decent and the front desk staff were friendly, but the way this was handled was terrible. We booked two nights so my daughter and I could swim and use the hot tub, relying on a pre-arrival email that listed swimming as an activity. No one told us the pool had been closed indefinitely. I found out only after calling to ask its hours, and it had been completely cemented over. Marriott Guest Services didn’t know it was closed either. I asked the manager to call and emailed them, but got no response. We used two Marriott free nights, each valued up to 35,000 points. Without any discussion or apology, 20,000 points were added to my account, which limits where I can use my free nights. I explained that I wouldn’t have stayed if I’d known there was no pool. The customer service was extremely disappointing.

The room and beds were wonderful, clean, and quiet, and the front desk woman was warm and friendly. They also had disability rooms, which made things easier for me. It took some effort to find the place, but it was worth it for our one night with family. I’d definitely come back.
