Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel

The hotel is great value, with very clean rooms and good staff. Just know breakfast isn’t included. The pool area was VERY COLD in winter, so it’s only really okay for kids then, though I imagine it’s great in summer. I suspect a lot of the bad reviews come from people expecting breakfast and being disappointed.

We stayed a whole week and found the room comfortable and peaceful. It was surprisingly quiet despite being next to a major hospital, and we felt safe during the visit. The stay was nice and affordable, and the staff were friendly. Housekeeping could be more thorough: the room was quite dusty, and the comforter needed changing when we arrived. The staff took care of the comforter quickly. Aside from the cleaning details, we had a pleasant stay and would come back.

I’m still here, and the pool water is cold. It’s snowing, so I’m not interested in swimming in cold water. I booked two nights instead of one because I wanted to use the hot tub, which I remembered from a visit two years ago. The website still says there’s a hot tub, but there isn’t one now, they’ve tiled over it. They need to update the site. I wasted the money and gas getting here when I could have gone elsewhere for the advertised amenity.

When we visit our son at Butler University, Sonesta works really well for us. It’s reasonably priced, a short drive from Butler's football stadium, very clean, and the rooms are newly decorated. The staff are super friendly. You’ve got repeat customers. Thanks!
