They took the money from fellow Gen Con attendees but didn’t provide a room or a refund. They ruined those people’s trip. That’s poor business practice, to say the least.

Very unprofessional. They tried to charge me twice even though I’d already paid, then claimed they had called to cancel my reservation and my sister’s. They hadn’t. We had to find somewhere else to stay because of this. Never going here again.

I booked through Priceline, but they canceled the reservation and said they would only take $100 cash per night.

Customer service was horrendous, and I would not stay here. The front desk never answered the phone. I called at least 50 times over several days without anyone picking up, and had to contact another location to get answers. At check-in, a sign told us to go next door, so we packed our things and walked over. They said that wasn’t right, and we had to carry everything back to MainStay. Someone next door called for us, and a person suddenly appeared at the MainStay front desk, despite nobody being around when we first tried to check in. No apology. The parking lot was scattered with beer cans and bottles, and the doors were propped open overnight, which felt like a serious safety concern. The renovated room still had original stickers and tags on items, even the dishes, making it look like they hadn’t been washed before going in the cabinets. This hotel is deplorable. DO NOT STAY HERE.
