Shadow Hills RV Resort

The pool party was a highlight, with giveaways from Hayley, and the live band on Saturday made the weekend feel special. We had such a good time at Shadow Hills RV Resort over Stagecoach weekend. The staff welcomed us right away and surprised us with goodie bags, which was a fun touch. The virtual welcome packet was handy, especially for checking shuttle times without rummaging through papers. The shuttle had A/C, which was a lifesaver. There was an issue with the bus, but Hayley and her team dealt with it quickly and professionally, keeping things running smoothly and the mood upbeat. Amazing staff and resort. I'll definitely stay again for Stagecoach 2027.

The grounds were about what you'd expect at an RV camp. The pool and hot tub were nice, and the man collecting trash was really helpful. That was about the only good part. Our RV wasn't properly cleaned for Coachella weekend 2: there was hair in the shower and bathroom, crumbs under the table and in the seats, and it made us wonder about the sheets and bed. The kitchen sink drain kept bringing something up with the water, along with a rotten egg smell that lingered. Around the second day, before anyone had showered or used the toilet, it suddenly started leaking uncontrollably from the bottom. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and spoke to us as if we should already know the answers to our questions. Things seemed disorganized from check-in through the bus breakdowns, which left us stranded at the Coachella grounds without transport in sight. They said two Sprinter vans and two more cars were stuck in traffic and that they had things under control. For over an hour, though, we saw only one vehicle that could fit 15 people, while at least 40-50 people waited. We called an Uber, which got us to the camping grounds in under 25 minutes, so it didn't seem like the other supposed vehicles were held up by traffic. We were looking for a clean, relaxing place with A/C as an alternative to camping, and were extremely disappointed. We're coming back for Stagecoach and won't stay here or recommend it to anyone heading to the festivals.

We travel full time for work, and this is easily one of the best resorts we've stayed at. The covered spot was a nice extra. We loved the location, felt secure in the gated community, and enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and great customer service.

Some bathrooms are still a work in progress, but they were acceptable until they're repaired or replaced. The large showers were well equipped, with chairs and shower gel, conditioner, and shampoo provided. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, gym, paths around the ponds, and all the mature growth. We were lucky to get one of the lovely shaded private spots among the old shrubs. We had a good stay and would definitely come back. Four stars because of the bathrooms.
