Motel 6 Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles - LAX

For a solo traveler with plans around Los Angeles or south and southeast of the city, the central location and price make this a reasonable option if your expectations aren’t high. It’s the largest Motel 6 I’ve seen, and feels old-school, with rooms that look dated to the turn-of-the-decade 60s/70s: an orange wall, light green upholstered furniture, and hardwood floors. There’s no breakfast, no in-room coffee, and no tissues, though free coffee is available in the lobby. My non-smoking room still smelled of stale cigarette smoke and could’ve been cleaner, but it was functional enough. The mattress was too thin and firm, and slid side to side on its wooden support. The shower was very good. They apparently have security guards at night. There’s a sizeable homeless camp under and beside the nearby Interstate underpass, so I’d advise caution, though nobody bothered me when I crossed through to visit businesses a few times. I didn’t use the airport shuttle or park a car, so I can’t comment on either.

We’ve stayed at Motel 6 in Inglewood several times this past month, and Ivanka has gone above expectations every time we’ve dealt with her. She deserves recognition for her great customer service. The cleanliness really impressed me, especially for the price. I visited with my children and felt safe the whole time. There was always security on-site, and the safety features on the room doors and elevator gave me extra peace of mind. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating. We paid for on-site parking, and it was worth it for the convenience and added security. This Motel 6 felt elevated compared with the usual. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants and fast-food options. It’s a solid, reasonably priced place to stay, and I wouldn’t regret choosing it. Thanks for a great stay!

This was my third time at the hotel, and I’m satisfied overall. Gustavo is nice, the shuttle driver is good, and the room was clean. The bed was comfy, and the shower and bathroom were great.
