Voyageur Motel, International Falls MN By OYO

We found out the place was closed only after arriving. I never got a closure notice, just a confirmation text the day before our stay. We managed to find another place, but leaving people with reservations uninformed about the closure is unacceptable. Cancel any bookings you have.

A basic hotel, with clean rooms and a hot shower. The lack of cable was a bit of a letdown, but I'll come back. Thanks again!

The property is older, but the staff really made our nearly week-long stay a good one. I brought my family along on a business trip, and everyone we dealt with was great. It was quiet, the A/C worked well, and the showers had hot water with good pressure. The staff went out of their way to help where they could. The location is right in the heart of town, just minutes from everything in International Falls. I do think the owners could invest more in the place to give staff better support in some areas, but for a reasonably priced, dated place, The Loves voyager was a solid budget choice, especially for our last-minute trip.

We stayed one night while visiting family, and the helpful, welcoming staff made it a nicer visit. The rooms were clean and nice, and the motel cost half as much as the other places around town. Restaurants, shops, and gas stations are close by too. We'll be back.
